What is the Best Way to Announce my Pregnancy?

By : Admin

There are as man ways to announce pregnancy as their are pregnancies.  The fact of the matter is that the best way to announce your pregnancy really depends on your own unique situation.  If you've been trying to conceive for a while, for example, you probably won't be able to contain the excitement and may wind up just blurting out to everyone that you see that you are pregnant.  There's nothing wrong with this approach, although there are other ways to go about it.

Pregnancy announcements, while not nearly as popular as birth announcements, are becoming more commonplace.  You may wish to use this sort of printed and mailed method to announce your pregnancy.

Another great way to announce your pregnancy is by having a surprise party for your friends and family.  The surprise, of course, is that during the party you will announce that you are pregnant!

Announcing your pregnancy to your spouse can be fun, too.  When thinking about how to tell your husband that you are pregnant, you should try to pick a place and a time that matches your style, or means something special to your relationship.  You might decide to tell him over dinner at his favorite restaurant.  You might do it via an e-card.  You might decide to wake him up in the middle of the night, especially if your baby was conceived in the same way!

You might think about using a more indirect way to tell your husband that you are pregnant.  You could use a prop of some sort, like a rattle.  Of course, there is the old cliché' of the expectant mother knitting a baby bootie when the husband comes home from work.  This can be especially a fun way to tell your husband if you are pregnant if you don't normally knit!  You can use some of these ways to announce your pregnancy with other people, as well.  You might buy a pair of earrings that look like pacifiers, for example.

You can be sneaky.  You could put a pacifier in your husband's lunch box.  You could just sort of hint that your period is late.  You can put a note under his pillow.  You could make a video announcement, and play it during a commercial of his football game.  (There's a good chance, even if he's watching the Super Bowl, that you'll get his attention for at least a few minutes!)

Whatever way you announce your pregnancy, it is sure to be memorable both for you and those to whom you are announcing your pregnancy.
