Clomid and progesterone question

Hi Ladies, I'm a newby here.

I was wondering if anyone was in a similar situation. I had taken a course of clomid 50mg. My gynae did an ultrasound on CD11 which showed 5 immature follicles and 2 mature(1@16mm and 1@24mm) Has anyone had twins after seeing similar results?

The next question I have is: Doc says he is concerned that because my cycles have been so long, that it could be because my progesterone level drops too low at the end of my cycle when an egg could have been fertilized causing a miscarriage. He wants to check my progesterone levels if a HPT is positive on CD30. Has anyone ever heard of that and does that increase my chances of miscarriage throughout a pregnancy?
